STUDENTS OF MERCU BUANA UNIVERSITY LEARNING STATE FINANCE IN BPK PKN BADIKLAT

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Department of Accounting, Mercu Buana University, gained additional knowledge about state finances in field studies at the BPK Badiklat PKN on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. This visit was accompanied by the Head of the Study Program, Rina Yuliastuty. She revealed that in studying accounting science, visits to government agencies are part of strengthening theory learning in class. This activity is expected to increase students’ insight and knowledge.

The Interim head of the BPK Badiklat PKN, Dwi Setiawan Susanto, explained the description of state financial management in front of 60 Mercu Buana University students. “I welcome the presence of fellow students to the BPK PKN Badiklat which aims to study state finances. The presence of fellow students can become ambassadors in order to introduce BPK as a Supreme Audit Agency more broadly.” In accordance with Law No. 17 of 2003, state finances are all state rights and obligations that can be valued in money, as well as everything in the form of money or goods that can be made state property in connection with the implementation of these rights and obligations.

In the discussion session, the students seemed enthusiastic about asking questions about the duties and functions of the BPK in managing and auditing state finances. The Interim Head of Badiklat PKN really appreciated the enthusiasm of the visiting participants and advised them to dig up a lot of important information related to improving the quality of BPK’s human resources carried out by the BPK PKN Badiklat. Improving the quality of HR competencies is an important part in improving BPK’s performance when carrying out audit tasks.

On this occasion, the students went on an office tour in the BPK PKN Badiklat area. This is done to see firsthand the learning process, training facilities and infrastructure contained in the BPK PKN Badiklat. The office tour activity ended with the screening of the film The Guardian with the Head of BPK Badiklat PKN Secretariat, Dhiena Novianita in the learning studio. (HE)
