The State Finance Auditor Institute (IPKN) held a seminar with the topic “State Finance Accountability Challenge during the Covid-19 Pandemic”. This seminar was held online after the inauguration of the Regional IPKN Chairmen and was attended by internal and external BPK from the Inspectorate of Ministries/Institutions, Internal Control Unit (SPI) of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), SPI of Universities, Public Accounting Firms, Profession Organizations, Law Enforcement Officials, with a total of 323 participants.
Opened by BPK Chairman, Dr. Agung Firman Sampurna, CSFA., the seminar presented three resource persons who are experts in the field of auditing state finances, namely BPK Vice Chairman, Dr. Agus Joko Pramono, CSFA., Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, Ak., MBA., and Chairman of the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI), Prof. Mardiasmo, MBA., Ph.d., CFrA., QIA., Ak., C.A., FCMA., CGMA., ASEAN CPA., CPA (Aus.).
The speakers explained the materials related to BPK’s Audit Policies and Strategies on State Finance and the Role of APIP in escorting State/Regional Finance Governance during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the Accountant’s Perspective on Accountability and Transparency of State Finance during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
BPK Chairman revealed that this seminar was an implementation of the IPKN establishment, one of which has the aim of educating the public and developing professions for its members. He hoped that this seminar can become a medium for BPK and IPKN to improve the quality of state finance audits.
