In accordance with the BPK Training Institute mandate to organize state finance auditor certification and the establishment of a state finance audit professional organization, on February 20, 2020 the State Finance Auditor Institute (IPKN) was inaugurated by the BPK Chairman as well as inaugurating the IPKN National Executive Board (DPN) consisting of the General Chairman, Deputy General Chairman, Secretary General, and DPN IPKN Members. IPKN is a forum for state finance auditors whose establishment has been legalized in the IPKN Establishment Deed to develop and utilize the potential auditor for the benefit of the nation and state.
For the IPKN members profession development in the regions as well as to synergize the cooperation of auditors and supervisors in the regions in increasing transparency and accountability of state / regional finances, on June 9 2020 the IPKN General Chairman appointed the Regional IPKN Chairmen spread in the Western, Central, and Eastern Regions of Indonesia for 2020 – 2023 period, in-person or virtually. The Regional IPKN is a complement to the IPKN in carrying out activities in the regions and to disseminate the idea of accountability for all.
As a continuation of the inauguration of the Regional IPKN Chairmen, on July 17 2020 DPN IPKN held a socialization activity of profession organization to the Regional IPKN Chairmen. Deputy Chairman of IPKN, Dr. Hery Subowo, CSFA in his report said that the purpose of holding this socialization activity was to provide a reference for the Regional IPKN Chairmen in establishing management in their respective regions. The event, held online through the zoom application, was attended by 34 Head of BPK Representative Offices as Regional IPKN Chairmen, 34 Head of Representative Secretariats, and Head of Subauditorates at BPK Representative Offices.
Starting the socialization activity, IPKN General Chairman Prof. Dr. Bahrullah Akbar, CSFA appealed to the Regional IPKN Chairmen to be able to immediately determine the Regional IPKN management and involve APIP, Regional KAP, as well as experts in the field of state finance audits to participate in their management so that the formation of the IPKN management is open to auditors throughout Indonesia and not limited to auditors within the BPK. He also advised to always support the competence improvement, professionalism and performance of state finance auditors and to place accountability for all in building the life of the nation and state.
In line with IPKN’s vision to become the leading profession organization in forming professional auditors, in this socialization the IPKN Secretary General, Gunarwanto, CSFA as a resource person gave a presentation regarding the role of IPKN in producing qualified and useful audits by organizing educational activities, profession development, and doing cooperations in the national and international scope. In addition, in his presentation, the IPKN Secretary General also explained the organizational structure of the Regional IPKN, membership, and requirements for becoming IPKN members for the Regional IPKN Chairmen so that they get references regarding the formation of the management of regional IPKN members and understand the duties of the Regional IPKN Chairman in coordinating and making decisions according to their respective authority.
