The Chairman of the BPK RI, Agung Firman Sampurna, inaugurated the State Audit Institute (IPKN) and at the same time inaugurated the IPKN National Management Board (DPN) at the Auditorium of the BPK RI Head Office (20/2/20). Starting the inauguration ceremony, the Head of the PKN Education and Training Center, Hery Subowo, submitted an activity report followed by reading the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) RI No. AHU-0001495.AH.01.07 of 2020 concerning the Ratification of the Establishment of the Legal Entity of the IPKN Association.
As a sign of the inauguration of the DPN, the Chairman of the BPK accompanied by the Secretary General of the BPK, Bahtiar Arif, symbolically pinned the IPKN pin to the IPKN Chair, Bahrullah Akbar, which was followed by pins by other members of the IPKN DPN. This organization can play a role in maintaining the professionalism of members through the protection and prosecution of violations of the professional code of ethics. “The existence of IPKN can also be used to improve the relationship between BPK examiners and the accounting profession and government internal auditors in order to improve the quality of state financial audits,” said the Chairman of the BPK.
Currently, BPK has 115 holders of professional certificates in the field of state financial audits called Certified State Finance Auditors (CSFA). CSFA is a certificate issued by BPK in recognition of the professionalism of state financial examiners issued by BPK, where the holder has the right to sign the State Financial Audit Report (LHP). Obtaining this CSFA certification is by participating in CSFA Recognition which is carried out by the Education and Training Agency for State Finance Audit (Badiklat PKN), Kalibata.
IPKN members do not only come from the BPK Examining Functional Officer, but also auditors from internal supervisors and public accountants who audit state finances for and on behalf of BPK. The inauguration of the IPKN is a new historical milestone for BPK, with the hope that it can be a supporter for improving the performance of State Auditors in realizing quality and useful state financial management accountability to achieve state goals.
In addition to the inauguration and inauguration of IPKN, the activity which was attended by high-ranking BPK officials, the Inspectorate General from various Ministries/Institutions (K/L) and several professional organizations in Indonesia was followed by a discussion of the book “Building a Plenary BPK: Enhancing the role of BPK as a financial examiner. state in determining the future direction of the state”. This book is a collection of scientific papers in the field of State Financial Audit written by 73 BPK examiners holding CSFA certification, and published to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of BPK in January 2020.
The book discussion, which was moderated by the Secretary General of BPK, presented high-level leaders from both internal BPK and various ministries/agencies such as the Deputy Chairman of the BPK, Agus Joko Pramono, Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara, Head of BPKP Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tumpak Haposan Simanjuntak, and Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants, Mardiasmo. The discussion of this book is not only to obtain input from stakeholders, especially in terms of financial governance, as well as a means to provide knowledge, insight and information regarding the management and audit of state finances. Hopefully this book will be useful for all parties, not only internally to BPK, but also for representative institutions, academics, researchers, students, and the general public.
