BADIKLAT PKN HOLDS TRAINING IN REGIONAL EXPENDITURE AUDITS FOR BANDUNG CITY INSPECTORATE EMPLOYEES

Twenty (20) employees of the Bandung City Inspectorate attended the Regional Expenditure Audit Training held by the Training Institute of State Financial Audit (Badiklat PKN) in Kalibata, Jakarta. The training, which lasted for five days, from June 19, 2023, to June 23, 2023, was opened in person by the Director of Planning, Education and Training Centre of State Financial Audit, Dali Mulkana, on Monday morning (19/6).

The Bandung City Inspectorate is a Regional Work Unit (SKPD) led by an Inspector and directly responsible to the Mayor of Bandung. The Bandung City Inspectorate has the main task of overseeing the implementation of affairs and administration of the regional government in the area of Bandung.

As a Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP), the Bandung City Inspectorate has a role in preventing fraud on regional financial management accountability. The audit carried out by APIP is an internal control activity through examination, review, evaluation, monitoring, and other supervisory activities on implementing the duties and functions of the Regional Work Unit organization.

The results of oversight by APIP contribute to the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) as material for consideration in carrying out audits on the accountability of implementing the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) to encourage increased transparency, accountability, and quality of regional financial management.

Therefore, for the inspection to be carried out properly, APIPs, especially those in the Bandung City Inspectorate, must be equipped with various knowledge and skills related to regional expenditure audits so that the audit implementation can be more directed and effective.

Through this training activity, it is hoped that the participants will understand the implementation of audits on regional expenditures and ensure that the implementation of audits on regional expenditures, starting from planning until writing the reports, follows the Government Internal Audit Standard’s guidelines. In addition, the participants are expected to have technical skills related to regional expenditure audits, so it is hoped that this will further support the performance of the Bandung City Inspectorate in providing excellent public service and creating a clean and KKN-free regional government.

During the opening of this training, Assistant Inspector III of Bandung City, Muhammad Anwar, was also present. He expressed his appreciation for and gratitude towards the Training Institute for the cooperation so that this training could be carried out.
