BADIKLAT PKN HOLDS PERFORMANCE AUDIT TRAINING

As an internal auditor at the Regional Inspectorate, the Government’s Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) carries out its functions by carrying out audits that will increasingly focus on performance audits of the Regional Government. Performance audits are crucial for fulfilling government obligations regarding accountability to the people. These audits provide confidence in the information reported regarding the results of programs or activities and the organizational/institutional internal controls.

Government Regulation No. 60 of 2008 concerning the Government’s Internal Control System states that APIP must carry out internal supervision over the implementation of the duties and functions of the Regional Government, including its performance. To meet these demands, APIP must continuously improve capabilities and expertise related to performance audits.

Performance Audit for local governments is essential for encouraging transparent and accountable regional government implementation. Therefore, Badiklat PKN organized a classical Performance Audit Training lasting 5 (five) working days from July 10-14, 2023, to improve the quality of the performance audit results of APIP. Thirteen (13) participants attended the Performance Audit Training for APIPs in the Regional Government Inspectorate Environment (Collaborative). Director of Certification, Education and Training Development Centre of State Financial Audit, Satrio Hari Nugroho, opened this training Monday (10/7).

Graduates of this training are expected to carry out the steps of performance audits from planning, implementing, and reporting, following applicable standards and guidelines.
