Badiklat Receives Bilateral Visit from the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) Kenya

Chairperson of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), Dr. Isma Yatun, accompanied by the Director General of the Training Institute of State Financial Audit (Badiklat) Suwarni Dyah Setyaningsih welcomed the collaborative visit from the delegation of the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) Kenya at the Training Institute of State Financial Audit, Monday (24/7).

The Director General of Badiklat conveyed the general description of BPK’s Corporate University (Corpu), including BPKs’ Strategic Plan, BPKs’ Corpu Concept, Information Systems, and implementation plans. She also conveyed BPKs’ hopes to generate interest from OAG Kenya to carry out capacity building at Badiklat.

Auditor-General of Kenya, Ms. Nancy Gathungu, who led the delegation’s visit, said it aimed to obtain an overview of BPK audits. She also expressed her appreciation for BPK and Badiklat regarding their progress in public sector audits and capacity building compared to OAG Kenya.

During this visit, the delegates, including Deputy Auditor-General of Kenya, Mr. Stanley M. Mwangi, and Manager-Audit Mr. Jared Arasa Nyasani, had the opportunity to hold discussions and ask questions regarding the training program held by Badiklat and continuing with an office tour of learning facilities, galleries, theater rooms, dining rooms, outdoor class, auditoriums, fitness center, sports centers, and moot courts within the Badiklat PKN BPK environment.

Also attending were the Head of PR and International Cooperation Bureau, R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman; Director of Academic and Learning Technology Centre, Dwi Setiawan Susanto; Director of Certification, Education and Training Development Centre of State Financial Audit, Satrio Hari, Nugroho; Director of Planning, Education and Training Centre of State Financial Audit, Dali Mulkana, as well as other BPK structural officials.

Hopefully, this visit will further enhance collaboration between BPK and OAG Kenya. In addition, the two agencies can exchange information to strengthen enthusiasm in increasing the capacity of auditors and organizations through the education and development of state financial auditors.
