Presentation of CSFA Certificates to BPK Board Members IV and V

Chairperson of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Dr. Isma Yatun, conversed CSFA (Certified State Finance Auditor) Certificates to BPK Board Member IV, Haerul Saleh, and BPK Board Member IV, Ahmadi Noor Supit, at the Auditorium of BPK Head Office, Jakarta Monday (7/31).

Through this CSFA certification, it is expected that the heads of agencies or institutions can encourage and lead the improvement of state financial accountability. “Efforts to improve state financial governance are very important. Therefore, this CSFA award illustrates that the entity’s leadership has been recognized for competence in state financial management,” said the Chairperson of BPK in her opening remarks.

Presentation of certificates was carried out after the submission of paper orations entitled “Strategy for Building Foresight Capacity of BPK RI” by Member IV of BPK and “Critical Review of BPK’s Audit Opinion (Reinterpreting Audit Opinion on LKPD)” by Member V of BPK, which was held in a hybrid manner on the same day.

According to BPK Board Member IV, the highlight in building BPK’s foresight is the need for a future-oriented foresight perspective to enhance BPK’s role in supporting the improvement of public sector governance and aspects of BPK capacity building, including professional capacity, institutional capacity, and communication capacity with stakeholders.

According to BPK Board Member V, several things in this scientific oration that was of concern are the follow-up of the results of a WTP opinion that had been given, the Audit Expectation Gap in public sector audits in Indonesia, and the implementation of public welfare-oriented financial audits.

The Director General of Training Institute of State Financial Audit (Badiklat PKN) conveyed in the implementation report that implementation of this certification is in line with BPK Regulation No. 1 2019, which states that to maintain and improve the competence of BPK examiners, Badiklat PKN organizes a state financial examiner certification program under the name CSFA.

This activity was also attended by BPK Board Member II, Daniel Lumban Tobing, BPK Board Member VII, Hendra Susanto, Middle, and Primary High Leadership Officials, as well as Structural and Functional Officers within BPK RI. The increasing number of CSFA holders is hoped to increase leadership support in implementing the CSFA certification program and improve the quality of state financial audits.
