BPK Board Member I Gives General Lecture to PKA and JFPAP Training Participants

Participants in the 2023 Administrator Leadership Training (PKA) and Junior Auditor Training (JFPAP) 2023 had the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge with the Head of State Financial Audit/Member I of the BPK, Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana at the Briefing and Public Lecture on Nationalism Insight in Leadership Pancasila and Integrity which was held at the PKN Badiklat Auditorium, Monday (14 August 2023).

The lecture with the theme “Strategic Role and Global Contribution of BPK in Improving Governance and Accountability” began with an explanation of the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision, namely Sovereign, Advanced, Fair, and Prosperous. The achievement of Indonesia’s vision is built on four pillars of development, namely the development of better people and culture, mastering science and technology, advanced and sustainable economic development, equitable and inclusive development, and a democratic, strong, and clean country.

BPK continues striving to improve the quality of audits to increase the accountability of state financial management. BPK’s vision in the 2020-2024 BPK Strategic Plan is “To Become a Trusted Audit Institution that Plays an Active Role in Realizing Quality and Beneficial State Financial Governance to Achieve State Goals.” Through this vision, BPK will show its active role in achieving state goals through audits to implement its constitutional mandate. “BPK’s Strategic Plan 2020-2024 is structured to contribute to the achievement of state objectives in line with the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision through an examination of the management and accountability of state finances,” said BPK Board Member I .

“Currently, the development of organizational institutions must pay attention to two aspects, namely human resources and financial management,” added BPK Board Member I. On human resource development, he emphasized that auditors continue to improve their skills and knowledge to produce a problem-solving BPK audit.

Furthermore, BPK Board Member I also explained BPK’s contribution at the global level, including designing an inspection strategy capable of overseeing the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As stated in its 2020-2024 Strategic Plan, BPK is mandated to oversee the achievement of the SDGs. He also explained that BPK has established bilateral cooperation with other public audit agencies and international institutions. It is a form of BPK’s active role in the international arena in line with the country’s goals.

Director General of Training Institute of State Financial Audit, Suwarni Dyah Setyaningsih, said in her report that the lecture activity was part of a series of classical training activities attended by 22 PKA participants, consisting of 21 internal BPK participants and 1 participant from the Banjarmasin City Transportation Service, as well as 37 JFPAP training participants who are BPK civil servants.

Furthermore, training participants are expected to increase their insight and knowledge through knowledge sharing by BPK leaders, improve the quality of BPK audits, and provide added value (value added) in improving the quality of governance, increasing transparency, and state financial accountability.
