Information Technology in the government sector is an inseparable thing. The government has implemented technology to make services more effective and efficient, including an Electronic-Based Government System. The increasing use of technology in government systems requires supervision through an Information and Technology Audit (IT Audit).
To fulfill auditors’ competency and knowledge requirements, the South Tangerang City Government collaborated with Badiklat PKN to organize IT Audit Training for South Tangerang City Inspectorate Employees. Director of Planning, Education and Training Centre of State Financial Audit, Dali Mulkana, opened this activity on Monday (4/22), during which he expressed his appreciation for the South Tangerang City Government’s trust in developing competence and knowledge, especially regarding IT Audit at Badiklat PKN.
South Tangerang Mayor, Benyamin Davnie, gave a speech at the opening where he said that the implementation of IT is an inseparable thing in government activities, especially those related to administration activities and public services. Therefore, it is important for government officials, especially South Tangerang City employees, to keep pace with IT advances, including through education and training.
Implementation of this training not only embodies competency development of South Tangerang City Inspectorate employees, it also increases employees’ understanding of IT Audit, which supports the implementation of their duties, especially in the field of IT oversight of the South Tangerang City Government.
